Introduction to the Geolocation API
To access the Geolocation API, we can utilize the navigator.geolocation
object exposed by the browser. It’s important to note that this API is only available on pages served over HTTPS for security reasons, and it’s supported on all modern browsers.

The Navigator Object
The navigator.geolocation
object provides several methods for geolocation operations. These methods are:
getCurrentPosition()
: Used to get the current position coordinates. The browser asks the user for permission to share this information when this method is called for the first time.watchPosition()
: Registers a callback function that will be called upon any changes in the user’s position. The permission will be asked if not already granted.clearWatch()
: Stops watching for position changes.
Obtaining the User’s Position
To retrieve the user’s current position, we can use the getCurrentPosition()

The browser will prompt the user for permission to access their location. Once granted, the position
