nanoIt is a beginner-friendly editor.
Run it usingnano <filename>.
You can type characters directly in the file without worrying about the pattern.
You can log out without using to editctrl-X. If you edit the file buffer, the editor will ask you to confirm, and then you can save or discard the edits. The help at the bottom shows you the keyboard commands for working with files:
