Linux command: clear

Quick startclearCommand, used to clear the terminal screen.

Types ofclearClear all previous commands running in the current terminal.

The screen will clear and you will only see the prompt at the top:

Note: There is a convenient shortcut for this command:ctrl-L

After this is done, you will not be able to scroll through the output of the previously entered commands.

So you might want to useclear -xInstead, it will still clear the screen, but let you go back by scrolling up to see your previous work.
